Students played in a Portuguese-speaking Fortnite team for their final test
A course of Portuguese for foreigners sponsored by Universidade Metodista de Piracicaba concluded with success last Friday. The course was offered to students of the EUROSCI Network community, including teachers, students, graduates, and their families, bringing together students from different ages, nationalities, and backgrounds. Students played in a Portuguese-speaking Fortnite team with native Brazilian players for the final test of the course. With this pioneering course, Unimep assumes a leadership role within the partners of the EUROSCI Network in South America.
HESTIM Engineering and Business School has today become the first partner of the EUROSCI Network in Africa and the 18th globally. HESTIM is a small engineering and business school in the Moroccan city of Casablanca, where it atracts students from all over Africa. HESTIM students from Togo, Burkina Faso, Gabon, Senegal, Ivory Coast, and Congo, have been taking a EUROSCI Network course since October. Information of local interest will be found at the newly created website eurosci.hestim.ma.
The mission is funded by a EUROSCI Network travel grant as part of the Global Outreach Commission, the EUROSCI Network's global outreach initiative. Local support is provided by EUROSCI Network volunteers in the region.
A student from Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iasi has been awarded a EUROSCI Network Global Outreach Commission travel grant to visit Morocco in September 2019.
We are offering a travel grant to carry out independent field work in selected destinations during the months of July, August, or September, 2019. Candidates should have passed a EUROSCI Network course, hold a university degree or be about to get one, and have a working knowledge of English.
